Importance. . .

There is one servant at my home. He is visiting my place every morning, but too early for me. I hardly get chance to see him.

Just few days back, i got chance to have a chat with him.

Me : "How many children do you have ?"

He : "Sir, i have 2 boys. Both are going school now a days."

Me : "Great. You must have got married at early age ?"

He : "No sir. Actually we have tradition to get married at 15-18 years of age. But i got marry late."

Me : "Why ? didn't find suitable partner ? ;) "

He : " :) no sir. My father had expired when i was only 13 years old. I have one sister. So i preferred to get marry after my sister get marry."

Me : "Oh, that's good thought. What is the age of your marriage ?"

He : "Sir, 9-10 year."

Me : "Oh, i was thinking that you are quite young. What is your age ?"

He : "Sir, i really don't know. ."

Me : "Why are you joking ? What is your birth date ?"

He : "I don't even know that."

Me : "Man, that is really strange. Everyone knows at least their own birth date."

He : "Sir, i did not get chance to celebrate such days. So i have forgot it."

I got a small shock. How do one can forget his own birthday. One do need it for every documentation also. But after talking a little more. I came to know that he don't do documentation on his own. As he is illiterate. Then i have started my daily routine.

But i got some thought. There are many people in this world who don't even celebrate their own most special day. And on other end, people dance like anything on friendship day, valentine day, all other days which are not really meaningful.

Why do you need friendship day. Can't you share your feelings on any other day. Why do you need one whole, special, well defined day for such a generic task. Same thing applies for valentine day.

People need a reason to chill out. They can not do that in everyday routine life. This is nothing but a way to get off of the job, of all the burdens, way to step in some others life.

Live your life properly. You will get everything and everyone around you. You don't need some extra time for this nonsense.
